Delivery is quoted separately
vehicle prices shown on this website exclude delivery unless a listing states otherwise. Delivery cost depends on the distance from the release depot, the vehicle size and weight, the offload method required and the access at your site.
After you order, or in response to a quote request, our team confirms the delivery cost and the offload method before transport is booked.
Offload methods
Tilt-bed / roll-off: the trailer tilts and the vehicle slides off in a straight line. Fast and crane-free, but it needs a long, straight, firm run-off area behind the vehicle.
Flatbed with crane or forklift: used for tight positions, placement onto footings, or sites without run-off space. Lifting equipment is arranged and priced separately.
Depot collection: where you have suitable transport, we issue release paperwork and a collection window once payment is confirmed.
Site access requirements
The delivery site must be firm, level, well drained and clear of vehicles, materials and obstructions, with room for a heavy goods vehicle to enter, manoeuvre and leave.
As a planning guide, tilt-bed delivery of a 20ft vehicle typically needs around 23m of straight length, and a 40ft vehicle around 34m, with approximately 4m of width and 4.5m of overhead clearance. Exact requirements vary by vehicle and are confirmed for your delivery.
Tell us in advance about narrow gates, tight turns, overhead cables, low branches, weight-restricted routes, soft ground and any restriction on delivery hours.
Scheduling and timeframes
Once payment is confirmed, our team contacts you to agree a delivery date and an arrival window. Windows are estimates: traffic, port and depot activity and preceding jobs all affect arrival time.
Lead times depend on the origin depot, the destination, haulier availability and whether lifting equipment is required. We give you a realistic timeframe rather than an optimistic one, and we tell you promptly if it changes.
On the day of delivery
A responsible person should be present to direct final placement, including door orientation. Once set down, a vehicle is difficult and expensive to reposition.
The driver has final discretion on whether the offload can be performed safely. If conditions on site are unsafe, the delivery will not proceed.
Customer responsibilities
Providing safe, legal access to the delivery point; obtaining any permits, road closures or landlord permissions; preparing suitable ground; and being present to accept and direct the delivery are the customer's responsibility.
Damage to driveways, kerbs, drains, paving, lawns or underground services caused by heavy vehicles accessing a site at your direction is not our responsibility. Tell us in advance if the access route is unsuitable for heavy vehicles.
Failed and aborted deliveries
Where a delivery cannot be completed because the site is inaccessible, the ground is unsuitable, the access details supplied were incorrect, or nobody is present to accept the unit, the vehicle is returned to depot and a re-delivery charge will apply. Re-delivery charges reflect the actual haulage costs incurred and will be communicated to you before re-delivery is booked.
Damage or shortage on delivery
Check the vehicle before the vehicle departs where practical. Note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork and photograph it.
Report any discrepancy against the ordered specification to us promptly with photographs so we can investigate with the haulier and depot. See our Returns & Refund Policy for how remedies are handled.
International and export shipments
For export movements, the quoted service ends at the agreed handover point. Customs clearance, duties, destination port charges and onward haulage are the customer's responsibility unless expressly agreed in writing.
Questions about this policy can be sent to our team using the details on our Contact page, quoting your order number where relevant.
