Delivery & Shipping
How Enclosed Mobility Scooters arranges vehicle delivery: curbside shipping, white-glove inside delivery, local pickup, scheduling, and what to check upon arrival.
Delivery Methods
Fully enclosed mobility scooters are large, heavy items that ship fully assembled via freight carriers. We offer different delivery services to suit your needs.
Curbside Delivery (Standard)
The most common delivery method. The freight carrier will use a liftgate to lower the crated or palletized scooter to the curb or driveway. You are responsible for unboxing and moving it inside.
White-Glove Service
Premium delivery option. A specialized team will bring the vehicle inside, unpack it, assemble any loose components, test it, and remove all packaging materials. Available at an additional cost.
Local Showroom Pickup
If you have a suitable vehicle or trailer, you can collect your fully assembled scooter directly from our Alexandria, VA showroom. We will demonstrate how to use it before you leave.
Access Requirements
To ensure a smooth delivery, please verify your location meets these requirements before ordering:
| Service Type | Requirements |
|---|---|
| Standard Curbside Delivery | A flat, paved surface (driveway or street) is required for the pallet jack. Gravel, grass, or dirt may prevent delivery. |
| White-Glove Inside Delivery | Clear pathway to the desired room, doorways wide enough for the scooter (min. 36 inches usually), and no tight staircases. |
| Local Pickup | A truck or trailer with a ramp or lift. Enclosed scooters cannot be transported lying down. |
How delivery works, step by step
1. Order Placed
You choose your mobility vehicle and complete checkout. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery method.
2. Pre-Delivery Inspection
Our team fully inspects and tests the batteries, motors, and electronics before carefully crating your vehicle.
3. Carrier Dispatch
Your scooter is handed over to our freight partners. You receive an email with tracking information and instructions.
4. Scheduling Appointment
The local freight terminal will call the phone number on your order to schedule a specific delivery window.
5. Delivery Day
An adult must be present to sign for the delivery. Ensure your phone is on and you are available during the scheduled window.
6. Arrival Inspection
Inspect the packaging and the vehicle for any shipping damage before signing the delivery receipt. Note any damage directly on the receipt.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide a valid phone number for the carrier to call.
- Be present during the scheduled delivery window.
- Inspect the crate and vehicle thoroughly before signing the Bill of Lading (BOL).
- If there is severe damage, you may refuse the delivery. Call us immediately.
- Retain original packaging if a return is anticipated.
Failed or Missed Deliveries
If the carrier attempts delivery during the scheduled window and you are not present, or if the delivery location is inaccessible by a 53-foot semi-truck without prior notice, a redelivery fee will apply. To avoid delays and fees, please ensure your contact information is correct and communicate any access restrictions (like gated communities or narrow mountain roads) when placing your order.
